Greenhouse Fire at New Way, Woodbury Salterton

Date: 01.01.2019Time: 07:46Location: New Way, Woodbury SaltertonDevon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service received reports of a greenhouse on fire at the above location.
Fire control immediately mobilised one fire appliance from Middlemoor and one from Exmouth.On arrival crews confirmed that there were smoke and flames issuing from the greenhouse and got to work extinguishing the fire using 2 hose reel jets.
90% of the greenhouse was destroyed by fire and the fire was believed to have been caused by a stray firework.
