Hundreds of people have already 'signed up' to take part in this year's Exmouth Christmas Day swim.

More than 120 people have already confirmed they will be there on the unofficial Facebook page for the event and 350 others have confirmed they are interested in going.

The Christmas Day Swim is a truly unorganised event which has become a firm tradition in Exmouth.

It is believed this unusual and generally ice cold affair began in 1970 and has taken place every year since.

It is thought to be one of the last true Christmas traditions in Exmouth and it attracts thousands of people every year.

If taking the plunge in the icy waters off Exmouth is not how you wish to spend Christmas morning why not watch it via the Exmouth Seafront Webcam.
