Just three weeks left until Exmouth Miniature Railway returns

Just three weeks remain until the return of the legendary Exmouth Miniature Railway.
The attraction will open from 1 May until 31 October at the Queen's Drive event space on the seafront, depending on government restrictions.
The miniature train, named the 'Exmouth Express', was a feature of the Exmouth seafront from the 1980s until the summer of 2017.
In March 2020, the little train was discovered rusting away in a shed in Cornwall.
After some refurbishment and a Devon-green repaint, the Exmouth Express now looks as good as new.
A spokesperson said: "After almost a year of working on the refurbishment, the Exmouth Express is finally ready (apart from a few finishing touches).
"The main body of the locomotive is the 1978 original and the refurbished carriages are from the 1950s.
"With the Exmouth Express back together, we look forward to welcoming you on board at our next stop!"
The miniature railway will also be attending four events this summer:
- The Mid Devon Show on 24 July
- The North Devon Show on 4 August (CANCELLED)- The Newton Abbot Country Show on 7 August
- The Uffculme Show on 5 September For more information click here. Follow @exmouthminirail on Facebook.
