RNLI lifeguard patrols on Teignmouth, Dawlish Warren and Sandy Bay beaches have now ended for the season after "a very busy summer".

Lifeguards will keep patrolling at Exmouth beach until Sunday 25 September, however.

An RNLI spokesperson said: "A huge thank you to each and every one of our lifeguards this summer. You have been an exceptional team and served your community with huge professionalism and team spirit.

"Please take extra care at the coast this autumn and visit a lifeguarded beach wherever possible."

In an emergency, you can dial 999 and ask for the Coastguard.
