Manorfest is back and the free family friendly festival starts tomorrow afternoon.

The festival, taking place in Manor Gardens, is organised by George Nightingale, landlord of Spoken, and Oliver Bainbridge, landlord of the Grapevine.

The festival starts at 4pm tomorrow (Friday, August 23) and finishes late on Sunday, August 25.

Nub News spoke to George to find out how the festival is shaping up, he said: "Preparations have been going incredibly well. The format is there from past events and we just tweak as we go - plus the weather is absolutely perfect

"People should come along because it is free, it is safe and the atmosphere created in the gardens is just a delight. There are things to do for all the family and some incredible food and activity stalls.

"We are most excited about seeing the Manor Gardens full up of lovely people looking to have a safe and fun time."

There will be live music all weekend, as well as food and activity stalls.

The official Facebook page for the event features this statement: "The only condition is that only water can be brought into the gardens. This means that the event can be controlled and remain family friendly and that it can be monetised.

"This will be a very expensive event to put on with security etc and the bar will be providing alcohol and soft drinks at sensible prices. The gardens will be sectioned off so that the public can access a portion of the gardens at all times - other than that come and get involved!

"Bring your blankets, bring your family and let's make this a great weekend to remember!"
