A body of a man has been found in the search for 48-year-old Mark Soutar who was reported missing from Ottery St Mary on Tuesday 22.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police issued this statement today: "Police searching for 48-year-old Mark Soutar, who had been reported missing from Ottery St Mary, have found the body of a man.

"Emergency services were called to Woodbury Common at around 6.20pm yesterday evening (Wednesday 23 October) after locating a vehicle in the area.

"A man within the vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene.

"The family of Mr Soutar have been informed of the discovery.

"The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared for the coroner."
