A new Papa John's pizza takeaway outlet has been officially opened in Exmouth by Mayor Cllr Steve Gazzard.

Taking over the former Greggs site at 44 The Parade, it has reportedly created 15 new jobs.

Papa John's franchisee Dr Renato Raho, who will manage the new store alongside others in Newquay, Barnstaple and Newton Abbot, said that he anticipates "strong sales".

He said: "Papa John's top quality, delicious fresh pizza has a broad appeal with something for everyone.

"Our team is now looking forward to delivering on our promise of 'better ingredients, better pizza' to the community and visitors to Exmouth and the surrounding area."

The pizza franchise, which was founded in the USA in 1984, now has over 500 stores in the UK.
