A petition to install a roundabout at Liverton Business Park's junction with Salterton Road has already received more than 200 signatures.

The petition, started by Exmouth's Jon Bowman, calls on Devon County Council to build a roundabout at the entrance to Liverton Business Park, near the McDonald's.

Jon began the petition after becoming increasingly concerned about mounting congestion in the area, the problems that can cause for the emergency services and what he feels is a growing risk to public safety.

Jon Bowman told Nub News: "We desperately need a roundabout or some sort of traffic management system on Liverton Business Park's junction with Salterton Road, it's getting dangerous.

"This will help local businesses, visiting shoppers and will help the emergency services easily gain access to the business park if there is an emergency.

"I started this petition because of the traffic issues on the road and the number of crashes and near misses that keep happening. The fire and ambulance service road is never kept clear either.

"If something is not done someone will be killed. It will protect public safety and help reduce congestion in the area."
