NCI Exmouth has welcomed a new recently qualified watchkeeper.

Exmouth resident Steven Aliss, 25, received his epaulettes at the lookout station on the seafront.

The volunteer coastwatch service is part of the National Coastwatch Institution, and its trained volunteers keep watch every day of the year.

An NCI Exmouth spokesperson said: "Congratulations to Steven Aliss, a recently qualified watchkeeper, receiving his epaulettes at the lookout from trainer Hugh Sutherland.

"Welcome aboard."
