No arrests yet after 'racially aggravated' assault in Exmouth – appeal for witnesses

A police investigation into an alleged 'racially aggravated' assault near Exmouth Train Station is continuing but no arrests have yet been made, Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed today.
The assault took place six days ago, at 11.20pm on Thursday, June 24. A man sustained serious injuries after the alleged 'racially aggravated' assault near Exmouth Train Station and a glass bottle, believed to be linked to the assault, was recovered.
Nub News has been in regular contact with Devon and Cornwall Police regarding the incident. So far no arrests have been made and no description of a suspect has been released.
The victim, a 20-year-old man from Exeter sustained serious injuries to his head which are not being treated as life-threatening.
Police officers attended the scene where they were assisted by British Transport Police and the Ambulance service. It was further reported that the assault had taken place in the street prior to the train station and that the victim was assaulted with a glass bottle.
