There have been no Covid-related deaths in Devon for the second week running, according to the latest statistics.

The figures from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) which relate to the week of 22 May to 28 May, show that none of the deaths registered in Devon had Covid-19 mentioned on the death certificate.

It is the first time that no deaths have been recorded for a two-week period since the last week of July and the first week of August.

At a district level, there have been no deaths registered in East Devon for the third week running. There have been 212 deaths in East Devon in total, and 88 so far in 2021.

Deaths that have occurred since May 28 will be recorded in next week's figures, as long as the deceased lived within Devon, the death has been registered, and Covid-19 was mentioned on the death certificate.
