Exmouth Gig Rowing Club gives oar-some salute to the Queen
Exmouth Gig Rowing Club took their gig Avocet to the waters along Exmouth seafront to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee on Saturday 4 June.
At midday, to salute Her Majesty's 70 years on the throne, the crew raised their oars, sounded an air-horn, gave three cheers and raised a small glass of bubbly to drink to her good health.
Coxswain Karen Mossman said: "We were very fortunate with the weather and sea conditions which allowed us to stop rowing and pay our tribute to the Queen.
"The UK Chamber of Shipping had asked that any vessels on the water at midday should endeavour to sound a horn to mark the Jubilee. We joined in the salute with RFA 139 Tideforce, Stuart Lines 'Tudor Rose' and other small craft."
Row organiser Graham Deasy said: "The crew really joined in with the spirit of the occasion. It was certainly something very different from our normal rowing schedule.
"I think the rowers will have fond memories of this special occasion."
The Avocet rowers were dressed in either purple or red, white and blue. The gig was decorated with bunting, balloons and the Union Flag.
