A total of 25 jobs are at risk of redundancy at an Exmouth holiday park.

The owners of Devon Cliffs Holiday Park, Bourne Leisure, said it had made the decision after witnessing a 'significant change' in the hospitality and tourism industry.

The company said it would now consult with team members on a new streamlined team structure as a result of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

At Devon Cliffs, around 25 positions (five per cent) are at risk from approximately 500 team members employed on park.

A spokesperson for Bourne Leisure said: "The pandemic has had a seismic effect on the tourism and hospitality sector and we are saddened that it is leading to significant change and jobs being at risk.

"As a company, we are committed to redeploying as many of our highly valued team members as possible to other roles within our brands.

"We have shared our proposals and priorities for 2021 and beyond with team members, with an improved focus on guest experience.

"We are consulting with our team on these proposals over the coming weeks.

"Whilst this is extremely difficult for our team, we believe the proposed structure will allow us to emerge from this pandemic in a position to move forward strongly and continue to offer our millions of guests a fantastic UK holiday."
