Police issue cold caller warning in Exmouth

Devon and Cornwall Police have issued a warning after reports of suspicious cold calling in Exmouth.

Police have received a report of a white man in his 20s selling door to door in the Elwyn Road area Exmouth area to help towards an apprenticeship.

While the man has committed no crime please check any identification he should carry and if in doubt call the number provided on this.

According to the police you should always exercise caution when answering the door to cold callers and if you are not interested in any wares on offer say no thank you and close the door.
