Police make fourth arrest in connection with death of Exmouth girl

Police have made a fourth arrest and extended bail for three others previously arrested in connection with the death of an Exmouth girl.

Exmouth Community College pupil Lucy Hill, 16, died in hospital after taking a tablet believed to have been MDMA at Exeter nightclub Move on 3 December.

A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said: "A 17-year-old boy from the Exmouth area who was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a class A drug and on suspicion of being concerned in the production of a class A drug has had his police bail extended to Tuesday 29 August.

"A 17-year-old boy from the St Austell area who was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a class A drug and on suspicion of being concerned in the production of a class A drug has had his police bail extended to Thursday 7 September.

"A 17-year-old girl from the Exmouth area who was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a class A drug has had her police bail extended to Wednesday 6 September.

"A 17-year-old girl from the Exmouth area has been arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a class A drug and has been released on police bail to return on Tuesday 27 June."

Enquiries are ongoing.
