Exmouth residents, local businesses, clubs and groups are invited to Ocean in Exmouth tonight (November 14), to hear Hemingway Design present the results of the consultation it carried out for Phase 3 of the Queen's Drive site in Exmouth.

Hemingway Design will be sharing their analysis of the 1,300 responses received as part of their consultation exercise held in summer 2018.

The Queen's Drive Vision is the creation of a 'high quality, inclusive, mixed-use, year-round leisure facility, which links to and complements the wider seafront attractions'.

It is recognised that any development should be commercially deliverable and financially sustainable, enhancing the town's economy by providing new jobs and increasing opportunities for visitor expenditure.

Lambert Smith Hampton, East Devon District Council's commercial advisors on this project, will also be in attendance.

Wayne Hemingway said: "With the existing open space and sports facilities along with the pop up spaces and the upcoming water sports centre this site has the scale and content to "unlock" a modern visitor offer for the town, while respecting the essential character of Exmouth.

"The extensive public consultation informs the visioning work for the Queen's Drive site. We are looking forward to the event on November 14 where the visioning work, which stems from the extensive public consultation, will be made available for public comment."

The event will take place at Ocean this evening between 5.30pm and 7.30pm.
