Road Traffic Collision - Person Trapped at On A3052, Aylesbeare

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service received a call from Ambulance reporting a road traffic collision at the above location.

Fire control immediately mobilised one fire appliance from Middlemoor, one fire appliance from Sidmouth and a duty officer to attend this incident.

On arrival the officer in charge confirmed a two vehicle road traffic collision with one female medically trapped within the vehicle. Another female was released from the vehicle prior to the arrival of the fire service.

Crews got to work with hydraulic cutting equipment and small tools to extricate the trapped female in the vehicle.

The female was extricated from the vehicle and transported to hospital via land ambulance.

The scene was handed over to police.
