Scott Cinemas in Exmouth has reopened following yesterday's announcement from Prime Minister Boris Johnson on the easing of lock down restrictions.
In an effort to thank the area's key workers for all their hard work during the pandemic the cinema is offering carers and NHS staff tickets for only £4 to £5.
A spokesperson for Scott Cinemas said: "As we begin to settle back in to doing the things we love, the WTW & Scott Cinema Group has been hard at work making sure our venues are even safer so that you can continue to enjoy new movies with a captivated audience.
"These procedures have been developed in line with Government guidance. When visiting the cinema, things may work a little differently for now."
The cinema is limited to a maximum of 35% of its physical capacity. Only alternate rows of seats are in use and nobody will be sat beside you.
While queuing, customers are asked to keep 1m away from the person in front of them.
The spokesperson added: "Please be respectful of other people when walking to or from the toilets as space is very limited in these areas. Please follow staff instructions when leaving the cinema."
Advance Booking is strongly advised - the booking fee has temporarily been reduced to allow for this. Some snacks and drinks may not be available and customer's are asked to pay by card or contactless where possible.
Screens have been installed at all service points. Cinema goers are also being asked to use the hand sanitiser provided around the building.
Staff are regularly disinfecting all contact points in the building and have all the necessary PPE required in order to safely do their jobs.
