Three deaths related to COVID-19 were recorded in Devon for the period of 10-16 April, according to the latest statistics.

Two of the patients were from East Devon. One died in hospital, while the other died in a care home. COVID-19 was listed on their death certificates.

Figures from the Office of National Statistics show that for the same period, one further death was recorded in Teignbridge.

Another East Devon death was added to the dataset this week for the period of 3-9 April, for which there was already one.

This means that in East Devon, for the period of 3-9 April, there were two deaths, and for the period of 10-16 April there were two more deaths - indicating that there was no percentage increase for the district.

There have been 85 deaths related to COVID-19 in East Devon since the start of 2021.
