Two taken to hospital after three-car crash on A376 Exmouth Road

Two people were taken to hospital after a crash on the A376 Exmouth Road between Clyst St George and Clyst St Mary on Sunday (27 November).

Police were called to the collision, which involved three cars, just before 6pm and the road was reopened at around 3am.

The driver of one the cars, who is male, sustained head and rib injuries and is still in hospital.

A woman was also taken to hospital with a suspected broken foot.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Police were called to reports of a three-car collision on the A376 at Clyst St George shortly before 6pm on Sunday 27 November.

"Fire and ambulance initially attended the scene, and road closures were put in place.

"One woman sustained a suspected broken foot and was taken to hospital.

"One male driver sustained head and rib injuries and remains in hospital.

"Highways attended to clear the road, which was reopened at about 3am."
