UPDATE: Death of man in Beer no longer being treated as suspicious

Police have ceased their murder investigation into the death of a man at an address on Clapp's Lane in Beer.

A man was arrested after the man was found dead at the property, following reports of a disturbance there at about 12.05 am on Tuesday, May 18.

A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said:

"Following an extensive police investigation, the death of a man aged in his 30s is no longer being treated as suspicious.

"The criminal investigation has ceased and a 30-year-old male has been released from custody without charge.

"The enquiry will now be formally handed over to HM Coroner with supportive actions conducted by Devon and Cornwall Police."
