Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage after a man was seriously injured in a crash in Exmouth yesterday.

A 59-year-old man was taken to hospital yesterday with 'chest injuries' and suspected broken bones after the crash.

At around 8.30am on Monday, March 30, emergency services were notified of a single-vehicle crash involving a silver Subaru Legacy in Hulham Road, Exmouth.

The driver was removed from the vehicle with the assistance of Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service. South West Ambulance Service was also sent to the scene.

The driver of the Subaru was taken to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital with serious injuries.

Hulham Road remained closed for around three-and-a-half hours to allow for a forensic examination of the collision scene and for highways workers to clean away any remaining debris.

Officers from the Roads Policing Team are appealing for witnesses of the incident, or anyone with dashcam footage, to come forward quoting log 90 of 30 March 2020.
