Users of Exmouth beach are being warned about some broken pipes that are causing a serious hazard to sea swimmers.

Exmouth RNLI and Exmouth Beach Rescue Club have posted warnings on social media about the pipes, which have been exposed by the natural movement of the sand, about 80 yards west of the lifeboat station.

The RNLI says the pipes 'could cause serious injury, especially during high tides'.

Swimmers are advised to avoid the area.
