Zero recent COVID-19 deaths in East Devon, latest statistics show

Data collected by the Office for National Statistics has shown there to be no recent deaths linked to COVID-19 in East Devon.
For the period of 27 March - 2 April, only one of the deaths registered in Devon had COVID-19 listed on the death certificate.
The death was of a patient in a Mid Devon hospital.
Mid Devon is the district north of Exeter that contains the towns of Crediton and Tiverton.
There have been no deaths for the second week running in East Devon, South Hams, Torbay, Plymouth, Exeter or Torridge.
In Teignbridge, there have been no deaths for five weeks; in West Devon, seven weeks; and in North Devon, eight weeks.
In total, there have been 204 East Devon deaths linked to COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic, 80 of which have occurred since the start of 2021.
