Aubrey thanked his sponsors with a painting

Eleven year old Aubrey Green, from Wilmington, has recently raised £300 for the RNLI following a successful 5k sponsored swim that he completed for the lifesaving charity in January.

Aubrey, a keen swimmer, set up a Just Giving fundraising page for his campaign and before he embarked on his challenge said: "I want to help the RNLI because they save people at sea and I also do lifeguarding so I know how hard it is to help people in the water.

Home Instead Senior Care have part time positions available in the Exmouth area

Local homecare provider Home Instead Senior Care are currently recruiting kind and compassionate people for part time positions in the Exmouth area, to support clients to remain independent in their own homes.

They invite anybody who would like to find out more to drop in at their open day, for coffee and an informal chat. This will be held at their office in Budleigh Salterton (address below) on Wednesday 26th February. There are two available slots to choose from: 10am-1pm and 5pm-7pm.

East Devon school children protesting against single-use plastics.

Schools in the Exmouth and Budleigh Salterton area have made a protest video after attempts to go single-use plastic free have been scuppered by packaging sent to them by the Government's fruit and vegetables for schools scheme.

In September 2018, children and staff at St Peter's C of E Primary School in Budleigh Salterton began their mission to eliminate single-use plastics from across the school.

FOUND: Missing teenager in Exmouth

Police have launched a missing person investigation after a 16-year-old male was last seen in Exmouth at 1.30pm today (February 18).

Keiran Ross is said to be wearing a blue hooded top with a dark grey top underneath; grey tracksuit trousers, white and blue trainers and carrying an over the shoulder bag.
