A Devon man has today, Wednesday 14 October, been sentenced to life imprisonment for killing a man in a brutal attack before setting his caravan alight.

Lewis Finch, aged 31 of Briseham Close in Brixham, was found guilty at Exeter Crown Court for the murder of 47-year-old Geoffrey Pearce.

Two fire appliances from Exmouth Fire Station were tasked to an agricultural outbuilding alight on Hulham Road this morning (12 Oct) at 7.18am.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Fire and Rescue said: "On arrival crews confirmed that smoke and flames were issuing. The single storey building measured approximately 8m x 3m and was used for storage.
