Exmouth Town FC beat Mousehole AFC 3-0 last night (Wednesday 9 March) in a match described as potentially its biggest since 1984.

The Exmouth club remains in second place in the Toolstation Western Football League premier division, with 59 points.

It is just one point behind Tavistock, which has 60 points. Five points separate Exmouth Town FC from Mousehole in third place.

Spokesperson for Exmouth Town FC Martin Cook said: "A great win for Town keeps them in 2nd place only one point behind Tavistock.

"On a horrible evening 183 supporters braved the weather to see this great all-round performance.

"Goals in the first half from an Ace High Header and shot from outside the box by Jordan Harris gave Town a 2-0 lead at half-time.

"Harris struck again 15 minutes from full time when he headed in a rebounded shot from Levi Landracombe."

Exmouth Town FC now has a blank weekend with no game, but will return on Saturday 19 March to play Street FC.
