As we read daily about the tragic situation unfolding in Ukraine it does focus our hearts and minds on humanitarian measures that are required to make our communities better places to live and work in.
As readers will be aware, last October I wrote about the work of Littleham Community Fridge and this month I write about another organisation that works in the centre of Exmouth but it does also reach out to our Littleham community as well.
Welcome readers to my first article of 2022. At this time, we think of making, if we have not already done so, New Year resolutions and several come to mind including those involving getting fit.
We can see that health and well-being are part of the council's strategy as the service plan notes: 'We work hard to find ways of increasing access to and understanding of reliable health information across East Devon, so that individuals can make healthy choices about their lifestyles and for people they care for.' For me, the most important aspect is the ability of individuals to make healthy choices within their budget.

The 20-time major champion has been condemned for his distrust of vaccines and his alternative approach, which appears to rely on the supposed healing power of water and positive thinking.

I've been reflecting on the past year and have been annoyed with myself by how much time I've spent focusing on what others have done to hinder progress in East Devon, and most particularly my anger towards the Conservatives both nationally and locally.
