Remembrance Sunday

Exmouth is set to mark Remembrance Sunday (13 November) this year with a two-minute silence, parade, and service at the war memorial in the Strand.

The parade will assemble at 10.30am on Imperial Road. It will then march along Victoria Road before being brought to attention at 10.50am at the war memorial.

A bugler will play the Last Post just before the two-minute silence at 11am.

There will then be a wreath-laying ceremony followed by a short service of readings, prayers and hymns led by Reverend Steve Jones.

Afterwards, the parade will be brought to attention and all will sing the national anthem. The parade will then retire, marching past the war memorial.

Organisers are asking members of the public to remain standing until they have departed, and not to cross the memorial on the eastern side (near Franklin's) as those marching past wish to give an 'eyes right' gesture to pay their respects to their comrades.
