Exmouth firefighters free person trapped after car crash near Woodbury

Exmouth firefighters attended a car crash near Woodbury just after midday today (Tuesday 19 October) at around 12.16pm.

Two fire engines, one from Exmouth and one from Middlemoor, were at the scene.

On arrival, they found one person trapped inside a car. They stabilised the vehicle and managed to free them.

A report from Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service read: "Fire control received multiple calls to a road traffic collision in Woodbury. One fire engine from Exmouth and one fire engine from Middlemoor attended the incident alongside an officer.

"On arrival crews confirmed that there was one person medically trapped within the vehicle, crews got to work with stab fast equipment to stabilise the vehicle and managed to snatch rescue the patient into the hands of the ambulance service."
