Firefighters from Exmouth, Clyst St George and Sidmouth were called out to a fire at Bicton College on Friday evening (February 12).

The Blue Watch crew from Exmouth and on-call firefighters from the Clyst St George and Sidmouth fire stations were mobilised after reports of flames and smoke coming from the roof space of a building in the college grounds.

The Exmouth crew confirmed that there was a fire involving a wood burner and flue, which was extinguished quickly. The firefighters checked thoroughly for any spread of the fire in the roof space before returning to their bases.
