Two public toilets have been reopened in Exmouth today, East Devon District Council has announced.
The newly opened toilets in Exmouth are among 14 toilet blocks opened by EDDC since the end of the coronavirus lock down.
The opening hours for all fourteen toilet blocks will also be extended on today from 8am to 8pm every day during the summer.
Each of the 14 toilets blocks will be cleaned to stringent Covid-19 standards four times a day – up to an hour for each clean, using viracidal cleaning products. Additionally, every week the toilets will have a full site disinfected deep clean.
The toilets that will re-open from today (Monday, June 29) with opening hours from 8am to 8pm in the summer months are:
- Magnolia Centre, Exmouth
- Phear Park, Exmouth
- Market Place, Sidmouth
- Cliff Path (West End, Steamer Steps), Budleigh Salterton
Toilets that re-opened from May and will have opening times extended from 8am to 8pm during the summer months from Monday 29 June are:
- West Street Car Park, Axminster
- East End (Lime Kiln), Budleigh Salterton
- Jubilee Gardens, Beer
- Foxholes Car Park, Exmouth
- Manor Gardens, Exmouth
- Queens Drive/Old Lifeboat, Exmouth
- King Street, Honiton
- West Walk, Seaton
- Connaught Gardens, Sidmouth
- Triangle, Sidmouth
The council has 27 toilet blocks and will continually review further re-openings in the future.
