A new toy shop has opened in Exmouth Indoor Market.

Run by owners Rebecca and Sam, the Cuddle Cave opened just two weeks ago on 12 July.

The shop has a wide variety of teddy bears and gifts, and will expand into another unit in the market on Monday 2 August to house more toys. 

Sam said: "Rebecca has a passion for teddy bears and we saw a niche in the market and thought we should go for it!"

"We've definitely had a successful couple of weeks since we've been open - from Monday, we're opening the toy section of the shop which will have games, wooden toys, stationery, and some of it will be dinosaur-themed.

"Most of our stuff is eco-friendly as well, with plastic bottles recycled inside [the stuffed animals]. 

"If you feel them, you wouldn't know any different - people are really happy that we're doing things like that, especially in Exmouth. It's definitely much-needed."

"We like the community spirit of Exmouth; in the indoor market, everyone helps each other out. It's a really nice town." 

Rebecca said: "I can remember always having a passion for cuddly toys. 

"Thinking back on my childhood brings memories of being drawn to the teddy claw machines at the arcades, trying so hard to win that particular bear, and that heartbroken feeling when I realised I couldn't win it. 

"I remember my mum saying: 'It's ok, we will find one just like it in the shops'.

"So here we are, dreams do come true, my love for teddy bears and cuddly toys has come to light and I hope to share this passion with everybody who enjoys them just as much as I did (and still do)!

"Please enjoy embarking on this very new and exciting adventure with us, and keep your eyes peeled, it's the bear who chooses you!"
