'Great Exmouth Crab Hunt' on today Sat 3 April at the marina

A crabbing competition will take place for the very first time today at Exmouth Marina.

Hosted by the cafe and beach gift shop Harbour Crepes and Gifts, the 'Great Exmouth Crab Hunt' will start at 2pm and finish at 3pm.

A spokesperson for Harbour Crepes and Gifts said: "To join in all you have to do is buy your crabbing set for £7 - one child per crabbing set purchase - from [the shop], sign up for the competition and get crabbing off the harbour."

At 3pm, there will be a weigh-in to see who has caught the heaviest crab.

The winner will receive a crab snow globe and free ice cream. Two runners-up with also receive ice creams.
