Another of Exmouth's dinosaurs has been vandalised, bringing the total damaged since they returned to the town to six.
The Brachiosaurus on The Maer, part of Exmouth's Dinosaur Trail, has had the word 'TWEB' scrawled across its side.
Exmouth's Dinosaur Trail was officially launched in the town on May 25 after two years away.
Since the Dinosaur Trail returned to the town at least six of the dinosaurs have been vandalised.
Chairman of Exmouth Town Tourism Team, John Thorogood, said: "It's upsetting. There are so many people who have been enjoying the Dinosaur Trail, particularly the younger generation who learn a lot from tracking down the different species.
"To have the odd vandal come along and wreck one every so often is hard to swallow. The Dinosaur Trail is a real asset to the town.
"I really hope these vandals can be caught and prosecuted robustly to send a message to other would-be vandals. The majority of the dinosaurs were funded through sponsorship from local businesses, this is a real kick in the teeth for those businesses."
The Dinosaur Trail was launched on May 25 and offers locals and visitors two trails to follow, the Town Trail and the wider Explorer Trail.
Both trails feature a series of 15 dinosaur brass rubbing plaques to find. Along both trails you are able to spot the many life-size dinosaurs – and a new dinosaur 'paddock' in Exmouth's Strand.
Exmouth Nub News asked John what he thought could be done to prevent further vandalism, he said: "I think exposure of those responsible will send a clear message, also I would like to ask the public to remain vigilant. If you spot someone vandalising one of the dinosaurs please use your mobile phone to take a picture and then send it to the police.
"It will only take one person being caught and prosecuted robustly to send a message that this is not acceptable.
"The dinosaurs are expensive to repair and we don't want to get into a situation where we have to take them away."
Exmouth Town Council has been made aware of the graffiti and has arranged for the dinosaur to be cleaned.
