One person has been airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after a two-car crash on Dinan Way in Exmouth this morning (Friday 28 April).

Two others have also been taken to hospital for treatment.

According to the fire service, one person had been ejected from a vehicle, and they had to cut two others free from another car.

The road remains closed in both directions.

A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said: "Police are currently in attendance at a serious injury collision which involved two cars on Dinan Way, Exmouth.

"One person has been airlifted to Derriford Hospital, Plymouth with serious injuries.

"Two other people have been taken to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital for treatment.

"Emergency services are at the scene. The road has been closed in both directions and is likely to remain so for some time."

The incident was first reported at around 8.15am, according to the AA.
