Police have confirmed that the body of a woman found in Dorset, is believed to be that of 24-year-old Julia Williams.

Julia, from Truro, was reported missing on Friday, September 4. Her car was found last week in Budleigh Salterton.

Without 'active leads' the police decided to call off the search for Julia, leaving the case active.

The body of a woman was located in the water at Portland, Dorset, at around 10.40am yesterday (Tuesday, September 15).

Formal identification is yet to take place but the family of Julia Williams have been informed of the discovery.

The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared for the coroner.
