Police are investigating reports of an assault which took place on Tuesday on Budleigh seafront.

A man and a woman were walking along the seafront at around 6.30pm when they were both assaulted by 'three male youths' after asking them to stop swearing and shouting.

One of the teens allegedly punched the male victim in the head and another male has then started throwing stones at the man and his wife before all three offenders left the scene.

Police are appealing specifically to a witness who filmed the incident on their mobile device.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police via [email protected] or by calling 101 quoting CR/082318/19.
