Exmouth Festival: Help create a giant 70-canvas painting with local artist Hayley Watson

Exmouth artist Hayley Watson is inviting members of the public to join her in creating a giant painting during the Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

'Exmouth's Greatest Masterpiece' will be made up of 70 different canvasses. It will be assembled into a huge patchwork painting and exhibited at a later date.

Hayley Watson is one of two artists who created a community project during the pandemic in Exmouth to help improve the mental health of people in isolation.

The event is free, open to all, and you can take part on your own or as a family or community group. All materials will be supplied.

Hayley said: "Come and create with us from Sunday at 12pm for Exmouths biggest community painting!

"Create with your mates, on your own, or as a family or a community group. Paint what you like about Exmouth: a place, a person the beach, flowers, trees or the sunset.

"Paint whatever you feel about Exmouth that makes you feel happy."

The event will take place at the Exmouth Festival on the Imperial Recreation Ground from 12pm on Sunday 5 June.
