Exmouth firefighters put out a vehicle on fire in the Salterton Road area on Monday (28 August).

They were called to the scene just after 3.30pm and got to work tackling the blaze.

The vehicle was left 20 per cent damaged, and the cause is believed to have been accidental.

A Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Crew from Exmouth (Green Watch) was mobilised to the Salterton Road area to a report of a vehicle on fire.

"Crews got to work using one hose reel jet, one breathing apparatus, small tools, hydraulic cutting equipment and a thermal image camera to extinguish the fire.

"The vehicle sustained 20 per cent damage by fire. This is believed to be accidental ignition."
