Exmouth man in his 20s dies after motorbike crash near Sidmouth

Police are appealing for witnesses of a road traffic collision on Tuesday 17 August on Trow Hill, Sidford, in which a man in his 20s from the Exmouth area died.

Police were called to the scene at around 8.35pm. The collision involved a black Aprilia motorbike and a Volkswagen Polo.

The motorcyclist, a man from the Exmouth area, suffered fatal injuries and was declared dead at the scene.

The road was closed in both directions until 5.45am yesterday (Wednesday, August 18) as a full forensic investigation of the scene took place, and police are working to establish the cause of the accident.
