Katie McCabe, 14, has reached Cornwall after embarking from the Exe Estuary on her solo sail around the island of Great Britain on Wednesday 30 June.

She arrived in Scotland on Tuesday 20 July, and passed through the Caledonian Canal all the way from Inverness to Oban.

Heading south, she arrived in Conwy, North Wales on 2 August, followed by Milford Haven in Pembrokeshire on 15 August.

She arrived in Newlyn near Penzance yesterday (Tuesday 17 August) - covering 122 nautical miles in 22 hours - and hopes to arrive back in the Exe Estuary soon.

If she completes her journey, she will be the youngest person to sail solo around Great Britain.
