NCI Exmouth will celebrate National Coastwatch Day next Saturday 28 August and raise awareness of its role in search and rescue operations along the coast.

A charity run by volunteers, NCI Exmouth works with HM Coastguard and the RNLI by keeping watch over the Exe estuary and Exmouth beach every day of the year.

Taking place at Coastwatch House on Queen's Drive, the day will help inform people about the charity and its role in lifesaving operations, and the public will be shown examples of incidents NCI Exmouth has dealt with this year.

The charity will also be on East Devon Radio this Sunday 22 August at 11am to talk about the open day.
