A new climate art exhibition by photographic artist Mike Perry has now launched at Ocean on Exmouth seafront.
Entitled 'Land/Sea (Tir/Môr)', the exhibition displays photos taken by the Wales-based artist of items that have washed up on beaches, such as shoes, plastic packaging, and bottles, for the purpose of inviting people to think about the legacy of consumerism.
It comes as part of a wider programme of events this summer, 'Climate Conversations', run by the Honiton-based Thelma Hulbert Gallery and East Devon District Council.
The exhibition at Ocean began on 8 June and will run until 1 August, and is part of a larger exhibition at the gallery in Honiton that features as many as 20 works from Perry's Wet Deserts and Môr Plastig series, on display from 20 May to 14 August.
There are also a series of family-friendly workshops available on the Thelma Hulbert Gallery website here, some of which are led by Exmouth-based artist Anna Fitzgerald, and there will also be a chance to meet Mike Perry 'in conversation' and learn more about his work and the themes of his exhibition.
