Postboxes in Exmouth are now sporting woolly toppers as part of a yarnbombing initiative to raise money for Hospiscare.
The Exmouth Mail Trail, which ran for the first time from 1-31 October last year and saw over £5k raised for the charity, was launched again today (Thursday 14 July) for 2022.
This year 40 local postboxes have toppers to mark Hospiscare's 40th anniversary.
Organiser Clare Suttie said: "[Our makers have] donated their time, days and weeks, all their materials, and all their skills as well and they are incredible. They range from teenagers upwards, so they're really all ages, and we're very grateful to them.
"Each postbox is sponsored by a local Exmouth business... thanks to them we've raised £3000 already before we'd even started."
A spokesperson from Hospiscare said: "It blows my mind that someone can make this out of wool, they're incredible.
"The money raised from this trail ... will help a local family easing pain when that needs to be done, admitting them to the hospice in Exeter to receive expert end-of-life care, giving a local family grief support if they need it.
"Thank you all for making a difference."
Mayor of Exmouth Cllr Steve Gazzard said: "What a wonderful way to raise money this is.
"Thank you to all those who've dedicated their time to making these wonderful toppers.
"They are a great tribute to the people of Exmouth and the people Hospiscare serves."
Maps showing the locations of the toppers are available to purchase for £1 from local shops including Budgen's, Antonio's, both Hospiscare shops, and the Book Rest. Proceeds will go to Hospiscare.
