Staff at Tesco, Exmouth recently took part in the RNLI MayDay Challenge on 23 May 2021 and turned 'every little helps' into a lot by raising an amazing £380 for the RNLI lifesaving charity.
The event was organised by Tesco Community Champion, Leanne Fletcher, who also took part in the event where runners were sponsored to complete 1km, 5km or 10km. The fundraiser was augmented by a bucket collection at the store.
The other runners who took part in the challenge were: Simon Stone, Sam Ronayne, Becky Hall, Nurije idrizi-Newson, and Phil Tett.
The event was well supported by several members of the Salterton Road store who came to cheer them along the route that started and finished at Exmouth Lifeboat Station, together with our very own Exmouth RNLI Fundraising Chair, Des White, who put on his running shoes and accompanied the fundraisers for 4km of the event.
Everyone finished in good shape with smiles on their faces and they are all looking forward to further exciting collaborations with the RNLI in the future.
