When Exmouth Town were promoted into the fourth tier of non-league football (Southern League Division 1 South) last season, this brought a few challenges to the club off the pitch as well as on it.

The club only has 100 seats and standing for around 100, which has to be increased to a minimum of 150 for both.

Not only that but changing-room sizes, outside accessible toilets, screen netting, press seating, first-aid rooms and a hard standing for ambulances all need to be found.

Some of the work that was required for a club to maintain step four had already been carried out by the supporters club such as the turnstiles.

The club has undertaken to complete the work by the end of March and many jobs have been started in this busy time of the season.

Funding for the work can be unlocked from the football Foundation and to do this the club has set up a GoFundMe page to help ease the financial burden on the club.

So far around £1,400 has been raised this way and the club hope to raise plenty more to improve the facility for all.
