The founder of Exmouth Stroke Survivors Club, Len Worsfold, has died.

The club is a community group for people who have had a stroke, or family members and carers of those who have had a stroke, to share experiences and make friends.

Len passed away on the evening of Thursday 23 June. He founded the club in 2009 and stepped down as leader in February 2021 after being diagnosed with terminal cancer.

Steve, the club's new leader, said: "Len was a remarkable person who really wanted to help people. I was gutted when I heard the news."

Exmouth Stroke Survivors Club now meets every Wednesday from 10.30am to 12.30pm at Bidmead Community Centre. It has grown, and is currently looking for helpers, especially in the kitchen.

If you would like to join the club, you can click here to find out more or call Steve on 07952 273866.
