Motorcyclist taken to hospital after coming off bike in Exmouth

A motorcyclist was taken to hospital after coming off his bike on Imperial Road in Exmouth yesterday evening (Tuesday 11 October).

His injuries are not thought to be serious.

Police were called just after 7.30pm to the scene and the road was reopened at around 9.50pm.

A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said: "Police were called just after 7.30pm on Tuesday 11 October following reports of a motorcyclist having come off his bike and sustaining injuries on Imperial Road, Exmouth.

"Units attended along with paramedics and a localised road closure was in place.

"The male rider, a local man in his 20's was taken to hospital with injuries not thought to be serious.

"The scene was cleared and the road reopened at around 9.50pm."
