A new shop selling books and alcohol has opened on Albion Street in Exmouth.

Cork Pages, run by Mike Hole and his wife Rosie, stocks new fiction, classics, non-fiction, cookbooks and more.

It also has a wide selection of alcohol for sale, such as red and white wines, locally brewed beer, spirits and non-alcoholic options.

Mike said: "It's always been a bit of a dream to open a bookshop.

"When I saw the for rent sign in the window, I thought brilliant, I'm going to give it a go. With my background in the drinks industry, I thought why not tie that in as well?

"I thought I'd try and get some wines that you can't get in supermarkets.

"We've got Crossed Anchors [beer], which is local. We've got Powder Keg, which is just up in Woodbury.

"We've got Bar Buoy cocktails, which are made in Exmouth."

Mike has also paired some books with particular wines he thinks will go well together.

He added: "We're going to change those every few weeks, get new books to go with new wines.

"I like to drink a glass of wine of an evening, and ideally once the kids have gone to bed, read a book. It's a great way to unwind."

Cork Pages' opening hours are 10.30am to 6pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays, 10.30am to 8pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and 10.30am to 4pm on Sundays.

You can find the shop at 13a Albion Street and here on Google Maps.
